Weaving is the most important process in making Nishijin textiles.
There are two types of weaving: the latest mechanical looms and traditional hand weaving, and a handloom craftsman will explain about hand weaving.
You will not only be able to see and hear, but also have a variety of actual experiences, such as an inspection experience where a finished Nishijin-ori obi is spread out five meters and inspected for scratches or stains, a tea ceremony experience in a tea room with a view of the garden, and a hand weaving experience using a miniature hand loom kit that miniaturizes the principles of a hand loom.
